Quality Kimble Kontes Quality Policy Our Commitments Focus on safety: It is the policy of Kimble Glass to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions, and to follow operating practices that will safeguard employees, our products, customers and the general public. We consider no aspect of our operations as being of greater importance than the health and safety of our employees. Customer focus: We will continually improve our products and processes by listening to the "voice of our customers". We are dedicated to providing both our internal and external customers with products and services that exceed their current and future needs. Process emphasis: We will strive for "Lean Manufacturing" whereby we will continually improve our customer service, manufacturing, logistics and administrative processes. Improvement efforts will focus on work place safety, reducing product variation, increased productivity, standardization of work, productive maintenance, reduction of cycle times and protecting the environment. Supplier involvement: Kimble suppliers are part of the quality team. Selection of suppliers will be based on their proven ability to continually supply Kimble operations with high quality products and services at competitive prices. Employee involvement: Participation of all employees in a team approach to problem prevention and problem solving is essential to Kimble's success. Teams will be utilized across all functional areas and levels of the organization. Active employee involvement and aggressive problem solving skills are key ingredients to JIT manufacturing and continuous process improvement. We must take pride in our efforts through clear accountabilities, constructive feedback, effective communication, positive reinforcement and the removal of all barriers to quality. Education and training: Appropriate job related training and retraining will be conducted to ensure employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform each job safely and correctly the first time. Employees will be trained in the concept of variation and the use of statistical methods to control and improve product and process quality. Each member of our management team is empowered to implement the requirements of the Kimble Quality Management System in their respective operations. Each Kimble employee is responsible for the effective application of these requirements. Our guiding principle remains as first stated by the company founder, Col.
